Netflix recently released “The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show,” a feature film starring her and Mark Wahlberg, on April 1. The currently untitled comedy from Universal Pictures is being directed and stars Shlesinger, although she says she has a different title in mind.
She also starred in the Netflix film “Spenser Confidential,” directed by Peter Berg, which hits theaters March 6. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Tom Hiddleston and Jennifer Lawrence.
NJ Media caught up with Shlesinger to talk about her rise to comedy stardom and how she’s preparing for what is sure to be a long journey she’ll have to take to stay healthy, including her life as a woman in the entertainment industry and her personal life.

Before the Netflix special, she was in comedy clubs and planning to play sold-out theaters as part of an eight-month international tour. “The drive – in comedy shows are kind of cool, as I’m always going to cities”.
